About Us
The RCIA English Process (also known as RCIA Maccabees) started 24 June 2010. The first 6 months is a period
of Enquiry. In this part of the process, it is about getting to know God, and our
Catholic Faith and what lies ahead of the journey is a deeper understanding of one’s
conversion into faith and discipleship.
What is happening at RCIA:
- The RCIA is a 2 years Process.
- Stage 1: Period of Enquiry (6 months) - Enquirer.
- Stage 2: starts with the Rite of Acceptance when the enquirer becomes a Catechument.
- Stage 3: Elect. The period of Enlightenment, starts with the Rite of Election.
Program in Brief:
- There are 4 Retreat ( to make the enquirer / Catechumens Grow): Holy Spirit / Discipleship / Evangelization / Baptism
- Sessions are every Thursday at 8pm. Each week, they attend Classes to explore a particular aspect of the Faith including: the Trinity, Scripture, Church history, prayer, the Sacraments, the Catechism and Catholic social teachings.
- Every Sunday – Participant attend the Eucharistic Celebrations (till the Homily and dismissed for a deeper reflection of the Gospel (Breaking of the word-BOW)
- Participants are encourage to partake in mission outreach, prayer sessions, fellowship sessions, and other Church activities that makes them grow in the faith and personal development as well.
- The 7 scrutinies – Deeper Reflection of oneself.
- Partake in Maundy Thursday / Easter Vigil, Baptism celebrations.
- Mystagogia - Understanding the Mysteries in the Gospel(4 months).
