About Us

The "11am Choir", as many of the old flocks of the Church of Saint Anthony would call us; are privileged to serve the parishioners as they come to worship the Lord every Holy Sabbath day. Today, we are known as Celestial Chorus, a name we've adopted since 2003.

The "CELESTIAL CHORUS" composes of the young and old. We harmonise our vocals to sing praises to the living God, along with the congregation so as the theme of the choir is "Soli Deo Gloria" - "Glory to the One True God".

Being motivated and inspired by the name and the purpose, we strive to be like the "Celestials in Chorus" to help the congregation, and together with one and all, encounter the almighty one during the Eucharistic Celebration.

Singing praises from the bottom of our hearts is like being a petal in a flower and the beauty of the flower is rendered only when the 'singing' becomes 'living' among the faithful ones. Sharing our faith experiences and trying to live the faith is the life-style of 'Celestial Chorus'. Away from the 'choir pews' we shoulder one another in being 'Children of God' which is the only goal set ahead for us. With the caring love of God our Father and with the guidance of our helper, The Holy Spirit, we the "Celestial Chorus" always have the desire to walk with our dearest friend "Jesus", in this troubled but wonderful world.

Thanking the Lord for all the smiles and cheers; all the fears & tears, being at the side of one another in times of joy and distress; could be the treasure that we would like to share with any one whom we meet. Blessed with friends and families; sisters and brothers in Christ, and with many more blessings from our parish priest, we gladly join the faithful ones to glorify our God – Soli Deo Gloria!
