About Disciple Chorus

Saint Anthony’s Church has an established Music Ministry with a tradition of excellence. The St. Anthony’s Disciples Chorus Choir, under the auspices of the Music Ministry, was formed in 1994. Although small in numbers, the choir remains a strong group with a reputation for outstanding vocal quality and highly disciplined performances. Today, the Choir draws dedicated members from our growing community. Our members hope to make each service a special event in our church, to the praise and glory of God. We are always striving to seek to have an active outreach ministry within our church, and in our community.

Disciples Chorus is truly a harmony of voices and we pride ourselves in being an amateur choir with the heart and soul of a professional one. Most of our music we sing is performed with instrumental accompaniment. Our choir is comprised of over 10 glorious voices to singing religious hymns of praise. Of course our choir would be nothing without the incredible dedication of our members, some of whom have been members since the choir was formed more than a decade ago! Disciples Chorus does not hold auditions and thus, membership is open to everyone. We believe that even the weakest voice has a song to sing! We’re overjoyed when anyone new joins our choir regardless of their experience or vocal talent. We are proud to serve our community by participating each week in the Sunday 6pm Liturgical mass, and by singing at special events and church occasions, and by actively participating in and supporting all of the fundraising efforts our parish community undertakes.

We are grateful to everyone who inspires us to sing! Disciples Chorus is filled with wonderful nostalgia. We sincerely hope you have the pleasure of hearing us at the Sunday 6pm Liturgical mass. We warmly welcome you and remain yours in song and praise.
