Here in this section we are not looking at the way a group functions and reacts
to situations or to one another. This section deals with a particular sort of activity
which can be used for training or awareness purposes.
Anything and everything surrounding a person can be used for the activities of group
dynamics. The activities are only limited to one's imaginations and the sentiments
of one's targeted audience.
Group dynamics activities enable a person to learn many things through the experiences
which are very real. There are no rehearsed reactions to given situations, nor are
there any intellectual input on the activity prior to the reflection given, nor
are there any expected behaviour. The action or reaction comes raw from the person
who is not guarded as there is no inkling of what is needed or required. There is
also no intellectual filter through which the person responds in a manner that is
deemed acceptable.
Hidden Treasures has been coming up with various group dynamics activities for Catholics
using various items and having different aims behind each individual activity. Our
archive is available if you are interested in knowing more about group dynamics
activities which you could use for your ministries.
